When do I get my passport?
New olim don't get a full Israeli passport straight away — there's a travel document first, then the darkon, gated by how much time you spend in Israel. Enter your aliyah date for your personal timeline.
A guide to the current protocol (updated 2025), not an official ruling — the Population & Immigration Authority decides each application on your actual residency record. Israelis born abroad to an Israeli parent, or born in Israel, can generally obtain a darkon directly and aren't bound by this olim timeline. Confirm specifics with the Population Authority before you travel.
