Realistic estimates, not promises โ pace depends hugely on the language you already speak, your exposure outside class, and life. Government ulpan is free or heavily subsidised for olim, with Alef the standard intensive starting course (roughly five months full-time). Immersion beats hours on a timetable: speaking badly and often is what moves you up the ladder.
